Busy Spring Guiding Season

What an incredible start to 2018!  We are already nearly 20 trips into our 2018 season and we can not begin to thank everyone who has chosen us for their Alaskan fishing adventure!

An early season wild king salmon!

We have been offering a very diverse line-up of trips lately. Everything from early spring trout fishing to back-trolling for kings and we have just started to get into our spey fishing for kings program.

Doug setting up a snap-t on a classic king salmon run. Part of the enjoyment of spey fishing is the solitude and rhythmic casting and swinging through the run.

One of the most satisfying things about guiding is watching the pure joy on our client's faces when they achieve what they came for. For some, it is the chance to get into the Alaskan wilderness, spend the day quietly drifting down the river and spotting wildlife. For others, it is taking that next step in their casting journey and for others, it is tangling with that elusive fish they've been chasing.

Jordan with a beautiful, sea-lice laden, chrome hatchery hen chinook. Watching him land this beast will forever be etched in our memories. What a special moment and special fish that chose to meet us at that time and place.

We have been reminded that the early season is a great time to be in Alaska. For some of the most prime early season fishing opportunities with the chance to escape the crowds, the spring and fall can't be beat!

We look forward to all the excitement that this season will continue to bring!
