Trout Spey Fly Patterns | Jeff Hickman's Fish Taco

Jeff Hickman’s Steelhead fly, the “Fish Taco,” is a famous fly mainly used in the Pacific Northwest for anadromous species like Steelhead and Salmon. Dave tied a version of the Fish Taco for trout spey using ostrich from a feather duster he found at Wal-Mart.

This trout spey version of the Fish Taco is lightweight, easy to cast and an absolute fish-magnet!

Have fun tying this easy, productive fly for trout!

Jeff Hickman's Fish Taco Fly is a well-known steelhead catching fly. This version is a slight variation of the original Fish Taco for Trout Spey and Skagit Fishing. https://www.cooperlandingfishingguide.com Giving credit to Jeff Hickman for his innovative fly design, I scaled down the Fish Taco and used some brown Ostrich from a feather duster I found at Wal-Mart for around $7.00.
