DAVE’S TROUT INTRUDER FLY

I’ve been playing around with small intruder fly patterns that are quick to tie, don’t take a ton of materials to tie, have easy materials for substitutes and most of all, work.

Using spey rods for swinging for trout is a fun and exciting way to fly fish for trout in Alaska and the world-over. Most traditional intruders for trout have thick, heavy materials that are hard to cast. Using lighter, more sparse materials. Dave’s Trout Intruder is a new twist on tying intruders for Alaska’s Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden.
